Craftsmanship To Be Passed Down Through Generations

Hello, I'm Billy Miller, the craftsman behind Sabbath Woodworks. I'm passionate about creating one-of-a-kind pieces that bring warmth and character to your home. I named my business Sabbath Woodworks because there's wisdom in the saying, "If you work with your mind, you should sabbath with your hands."

I found my love for woodworking back in 2019 when our family needed a patio covering, and I took on the challenge of building a treehouse for our kids. That was the start of my journey, and before I knew it, I was crafting everything from farm tables and barn doors to living room tables, stools, end tables, and even a custom-made Thor hammer.

After Hurricane Sally hit in 2020, my son and I spent time clearing out our neighborhood with chainsaws, and that's when I began to see the hidden beauty in tree stumps—imagining them as unique, handmade creations. I donated one of my pieces to a silent auction for a nonprofit, and seeing it find a home sparked a vision: to have my handcrafted pieces become a part of families' homes across America.

I’d be honored to create something special for your home. Give me a call today for a consultation—I’d love to make something beautiful for you and your family.

As a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, I know firsthand the value of honoring service and sacrifice. That's why I take great care in crafting custom shadow boxes that reflect the dedication and commitment of those who have put service before self. Each piece is a tribute, a way to say "thank you" in a language that needs no words.

Being a Christian, I also believe in giving back, starting right here in my own community in South Alabama. I’ve been blessed to donate my time and skills to causes close to my heart, like creating a custom bookcase and coffee service table for Under His Wings, a local nonprofit supporting young women in need. I’ve also traveled with my church to Guatemala to serve with Hope 4 Tomorrow, where I had the privilege of building cubbies, desks and stools for their preschool and kitchen cabinets for a children’s home.

Whether at home or abroad, I believe in using my hands and my heart to make a difference, one project at a time.
